Nutrients and Hormones

There is so much goodies found in your placenta. Just take a look:

CRH (CORTICOTROPIN RELEASING HORMONE)

  • Regulation of CRH helps to prevent depression.

CORTISONE

  • Reduces inflammation and swelling promotes healing.

CYTOKNES

  • Small secreted proteins released by cells in the body. They have a specific effect on the interactions
and communications between cells. They help in the making of new cells to heal and replace
    damaged cells and tissue.

ESTROGEN, PROGESTRONE, TESTOSTERONE

  • Contributes to mammary gland development in preparation for lactation, stabilizes postpartum
  • mood, and regulates post-birth uterine cramping.

ESTROGEN, PROGESTRONE, TESTOSTERONE

  • Contributes to mammary gland development in preparation for lactation, stabilizes postpartum
mood, and regulates post-birth uterine cramping.

HEMOGLOBIN

  • Oxygen-carrying molecule which provides a boost in energy.

HPL (HUMAN PLACENTAL LACTOGEN)

  • This hormone has lactogenic and growth-promoting properties; promotes mammary gland growth
in preparation for lactation in the mother and also regulates maternal glucose, protein, and fat levels.

IgG (IMMUNOGLOBULIN G)

  • Antibody molecules which support the immune system

INTERFERON

  • Triggers the protective defenses of the immune system to fight infection; inhibits virus reproduction

IRON

  • Iron is the substance in red blood cells that carries oxygen from your lungs to transport it throughout
your entire body. Without healthy red blood cells, your body can’t get enough oxygen-which can
lead to fatigue. Replenishes maternal iron stores to combat anemia; increases energy; decreases
    fatigue and depression.

OXYTOCIN

  • Decreases pain and increases bonding in mother and infant; counteracts the production of stress
hormones such as Cortisol; greatly reduces postpartum bleeding; enhances the breastfeeding letdown reflex.

PHOSPHORUS

  • Aids in digestion, hormone balance, cell repair, and nutrient utilization.

PLACENTAL GROWTH HORMONE

  • Promotes breakdown of stored fats, sending them to baby.

PLACENTAL OPIOD-ENHANCING FACTOR

  • Stimulates the production of your body’s natural opioids, including endorphins; reduces pain;
  • increases well-being.

PROLACTIN

  • Promotes lactation; increases milk supply; enhances the mothering instinct.

PROSTAGLANDINS

  • Regulates contractions in the uterus after birth; helps uterus return to its pre-pregnancy size.

STEM CELLS

  • Help to repair damage done to the body caused by childbirth. Helps you to heal and recover quicker

TSH (THYROID STIMULATING HORMONE)

  • Regulates the thyroid gland; boosts energy; regulates metabolism.

UROKINASE INHIBITING FACTOR AND FACTOR XIII

  • Stops bleeding and enhances wound healing.

VITAMIN B6

  • Helps support adrenal function (adrenal glands are what produce hormones). Helps to calm and
maintain a healthy nervous system. Helps to speed up metabolism by acting as a coenzyme in the
breakdown of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Helps your body to produce antibodies- antibodies
help your immune system. Helps to calm and maintain a healthy nervous system; helps to speed up
metabolism by acting as a coenzyme in the breakdown of carbohydrates, fats and proteins; helps
    your body to produce antibodies.

VITAMIN B12

  • Helps to treat some types of anemia. Helps your body to use fat and carbohydrates for energy and
to make new protein. Helps your body to use fats and carbohydrates for energy and to make new
    protein.

VITAMIN E

  • Protects against toxins such as air pollution. Helps damaged skin cells to heal

Placenta Encapsulation

The Process

We use the TCM (Traditional Chinese Method) of placenta encapsulation which includes steaming,
dehydrating, and pulverizing. This is considered to be the safest method.

Step 1

The placenta is first placed into a stainless steel strainer and rinsed clear of any meconium or blood clots. Then we cut the umbilical cord and set aside for keepsake gift.

Step 2

The placenta is then placed into a steamer bag (so the placenta never touches the actual steamer)

Step 3

We then add fresh squeezed Lemon (helps speed metabolism and prevents dehydration) Ginger (natural immune and energy booster) and Cayenne Pepper (reduces swelling and inflammation).

Step 4

The placenta is steamed for 30 minutes at 230 degrees Fahrenheit

Step 5

The placenta is then removed from the steamer and placed onto a once time use cutting board and sliced into strips.

Step 6

The placenta is then placed into a dehydrator and dehydrated for 18 hours at 160 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 7

The dry hard strips of placenta are then placed into a pulverizer and converted to powder.

Step 8

The placenta powder is then poured into empty capsules and repeated until all the powder is finished.

Step 9

The capsules are then placed into a glass water bottle, safety sealed, labeled, and bagged.

Step 10

All one time use equipment is discarded into biohazard bins, workspace and machines are then sanitized with hospital grade cleaning solutions.
